Twining puberulent liana with scabrous leaves to 200mm x 100mm. Axillary or terminal pendent inflorescence to 650mm long with 2-5 pairs of bractlets. Pale blue calyx to 10mm long, calyx lobes to 10mm x 4.5mm, violet purple corolla, corolla tube to 12mm long sparsely hirsute within, lobes to 11mm long. Fruit with persistent calyx
