Hairy scabrous twiner with glabrescent lenticellate branches. Glabrescent leaves to 160mm x 80mm. Axillary many-flowered racemes to 250mm long, flowers 10mm, calyx 6mm x 4mm. Fruiting lilac calyx 7mm x 7mm, calyx lobes to 13mm x 12mm.
