Slender mostly glabrous woody climber with 3-foliolate glabrous leaves, largest leaflet to 110mm x 60mm, lateral leaflets to 80mm x 42mm. Lax axillary puberulent panicles to 250mm x 90mm with bracts 10mm long, bracteoles to 1mm long, red flowers, glabrous 5-lobed calyx to 6mm long puberulous without glabrous within, 2-lipped white corolla to 8mm x 9mm puberulent on back, glabrous within tube, tube 3.5mm long, 5-lobed limb lobes 3.5mm x 2.5mm. Longitudinally striate fruit 8mm long with fruiting calyx to 15mm x 4mm with tube 8mm long & lobes to 15mm x 4mm.
