Glabrous twining shrub, liana or tree with lenticellate branchlets. Coriaceous leaves to 190mm x 95mm, roughish beneath & somewhat crenulate or entire. Green-yellow or cream fragrant flowers with bractlets in axillary corymbs or panicles to 80mm long with minute papery bracts & bracteoles, papery sepals, fringed petals to 2.8mm x 1.5mm. Greenish-yellow coriaceous fruit turning orange to 35mm diameter
