Perennial evergreen tuberous glabrescent woolly woody slender vine or liana. Villous mucronate papery leaves, white-hairy beneath to 100mm x 100mm. Axillary yellowish-tomentose pendulous corymbs, umbels, cymes or panicles to 100mm, fragrant flowers, 0.7mm long male & female white or yellow hisute flowers, 9 villous sepals, outer sepals 0.5mm, middle and inner sepals 1mm long, 6 glabrous 0.5mm petals. Red or purple to black drupe to 7mm diameter with 2 rows of pointed projections. Climbing shrub, leaves pubescent beneath, racemose cprymbs of yellowish-green flowers, fruit a blackish-purple berry
