Hemi-epiphytic scandent herb with adventitious roots. Glabrous leaves to 170mm x 100mm. Terminal or axillary solitary or paired inflorescence, occasionally 3 flowered with bracteoles & glabrous bracts to 15mm long. Flowering spikes to 80mm long, decoming 2mm diameter in fruit. Flowers aging red. Purplish fruit 1.1mm x 0.5mm.
