Scandent vine with pentagonal [puberulous stems. Glabrous leaves to 50mm x 27mm. Terminal or axillary corymbs with bracts to 12mm long, 13 hairy involucral bracts to 7mm x 2mm, yellow flowers with bright red centres, 12 ray florets with tube to 5.5mm long, limb to 8.5mm x 2.5mm, 35 disc florets with glabrous yellow corolla 9.5mm long, with tube 4mm long, throat 4.5mm long, lobes 1.3mm x 0.8mm. Immature glabrous 6-ribbed achenes 2mm long with bristle to 8mm long
