Woody rusty-pubescent tendril climber or shrub with 5-angled branches. 5-foliolate coriaceous leaves, hirsute toothed leaflets to 282mm x 151mm. Terminal or axillary hirsute panicles or thyrses to 380mm long with bracts to 3mm long & smaller bractlets. White 5mm long flowers, tomentulose coriaceous sepals to 4.5mm long, white petals to 5mm long. Trigonous scarlet hairy fruit capsule to 22mm x 16mm with white aril, bifid tendrils
