Glabrous liana with ternate leaves, coriaceous toothed leaflets to 140mm long. Sparsely puberulent panicles or thyrses to 120mm long, white flowers, tomentulose sepals 4mm long, white petals. Spiny red fruit capsule to 35mm diameter, spines to 10mm long.
