Liana with striate puberulent branches becoming glabrescent. Biternate toothed leaves, serrate-dentate leaflets to 90mm x 40mm, glabrous above, barbate beneath. Puberulent axillary racemes or panicles with 2 hooked tendrils at base of each, whitish pubescent flowers with sepals 3mm long. 3-winged glabrous capsule to 15mm x 18mm.
