Glabrescent liana with striate stems. Coriaceous glabrous leaves to 140mm x 60mm. Solitary pendent flowers to 120mm diameter with green bracts to 50mm x 25mm, sepals white outside, red-purple inside with white margin, 50mm x 25mm, with awn at apex to 3mm. White petals with red veins to 50mm x 20mm, 2 series of filaments, outer series to 20mm x 2mm, inner ones to 45mm x 4mm, white banded on lower half, purple on upper half. Edible pubescent orange-yellow fruit with white spots to 50mm x 43mm.
