Herbaceous tendril liana with trigonous pilose stems. Leaves to 100mm x 70mm, 2-3 lobed, glabrous above & pilose on nerves beneath. Inflorescence with purplish setaceous bracts to 9mm long, white flowers to 35mm wide with purple & mauve banded white filaments, calyx tube to 10mm wide, greenish-white sepals 15mm x 4mm, white petals 9mm x 1.5mm, corona filaments in 2 series, outer ones to 8mm long, inner ones to 3mm long. Globose fruit maturing black.
