Liana with cylindrical stems & fibrous bark. Trilobate leaves to 290mm across, central lobes to 160mm x 80mm, lateral lobes to 160mm x 70mm, serrate margins, glabrescent above, pubescent beneath. Solitary axillary pendent pink flowers with bracts to 50mm x 30mm. floral tube to 80mm x 10mm, light green outside whitish inside, sepals & petals bright to pale pink, sepals to 60mm x 25mm with 4mm awn, petals to 6mm shorter than sepals, white filaments to 20mm. Fruit to 140mm x 45mm, dark green with white dots, ripening orange.
