Herbaceous puberulent simple-tendril climber with grey-pubescent or reddish-hairy stems. Pubescent bilobed leaves occasionally trilobate, awn in recess between lobes, to 110mm x 100mm. Axillary solitary or paired 50mm wide ivory flowers with red-purple or lavender small filaments, long filaments, pilose sepals reddish or green outside, white inside to 25mm long, whitish petals to 15mm long, one ranks of pink to purple filaments to 13mm long, green or white above. Pilose 50mm 10-angled pink or red fruits with longitudinal white lines.
