Herbaceous pubescent vine to 4m with 5-angled stem. Leaves 2-3 lobed to 170mm x 120mm. Solitary green, white or cream fragrant flowers with pale purple centre, sepals to 29mm x 7mm, white or pale green-yellow petals to 15mm x 4.3mm, 2 series of filaments, outer to 18mm, red-purple to purple-red, inner series to 4.5mm, red-purple with paler tips. Beaked yellow-green fruit to 60mm x 30mm.
