Erectm weakly climbing or rarely procumbent herb to 0.9m, stems often red. 3-lobed leaves to 75mm x 105mm with tendrils. Inflorescence with bracts to 4.5mm x 1.2mm, flowers to 40mm diameter, greenish-white sepals to 20mm x 8mm, white to lightly flushed purple petals to 12mm x 6mm, 38-41 coronal filaments to 16mm long, cream to yellow with 2 broad violet or purple bands. Fruit to 40mm x 30mm, yellow-green.
