Vigorous evergreen woody vine with white-tomentose young stems. Coriaceous 3-lobed leaves glabrous above, with velvety down beneath to 100mm x 130mm with sharply serrate lobes. Serrate beacts to 15mm long, usually reddish-purple outside. 90mm bright pink calyx tube to 50mm long, tomentose without, white withinh & blue tinged toward throar. White petals fainly blue tinged with blue corona filaments in 2 ranks,outer filaments blue & white to 20mm long, inner filaments minute purple tubercles. 50mm round yellow-orange fruits.
