Woody tendril climber with corky ridged stems. Leaves mostly glabrous to 175mm x 70mm. Pendant solitary axillary flowers with 3 bracts to 4mm x 2mm. Green or white sepals to 40mm x 20mm purple inside with hooked awn to 3mm long. Petals to 35mm x 10mm, green or white outside, purple inside. Outermost filaments to 25mm long, second ring to 35mm long, inner rows to 0.7mm long. Orange fruit with pale spots 60mm x 45mm
