Densely hispid tendril vine with 3-lobed sharply-toothed leaves hairy beneath, pubescent above to 160mm x 130mm. 63mm wide violet & purple flowers with several series of mauve & purple filaments, outermost 20mm long, others very dense & shorter, denticulate bracts to 20mm long, sepals to 25mm long. 70mm long greenish-yellow fruits.
