Evergreen woody simple-tendril liana to 7m with puberulous striate stems. Glabrous unlobed leaves to 270mm x 110mm, puberulous on main veins beneath. Fragrant 80mm solitary axillary white flowers with 3 white bracts to 55mm x 32mm, calyx tube 10mm x 14mm, filaments in 4 series banded white, violet & purple, outer series 8mm long, second series 15mm long, other 2 series reduced to rings of tubercles, sepals green to 40mm x 10mm, apex with 2mm long awn, petal light green with violet dots on inside to 35mm x 5mm. 50mm diameter smooth yellowish-green fruits.
