Glabrous tendril liana with striate young stems. Trilobed leaves to 23-mm x 275mm with serrate margins, lobes to 210mm x 115mm. Solitary axillary purple-green or white flowers with bracts to 87mm x 50mm, pendent flowers to 45mm x 45mm, white to lavender with a purple corona, lavender to greenish-lavender sepals & petals to 30mm x 8mm, corona with outer filaments to 20mm long, whie striped purple, inner filaments to 4mm long. Orange-yellow fruit to 65mm x 50mm.
