Liana or sometimes scandent subshrub with few tendrils. Puberulent branches, coriaceous leaves to 250mm x 160mm, puberulent beneath. White fragrant flowersto 70mm wide with bracts, 6 series of filaments, outermost to 20mm long, orange & reddish at middle, other filaments shorter, red filaments, corona orange-purple at base.
