Vine with pilose stems. Leaves to 70mm x 50mm with lobes to 40mm x 15mm, glabrous above & pilose beneath & simple tendrils. Solitary violet & whitish flowers with bracts 2mm long, sepals 9mm x 4.5mm, petals 7.5mm x 4.5m, tube 1.5mm x 8mm.

Naturalised in some areas

Has been cultivated as an ornamental. Used as a diuretic
