Large liana to 20m with lenticellate bark. Leathery leaves to 290mm x 139mm, creamy yellow at base of leaves. Clusters to 350mm long on young or old wood with bracts to 52mm x 23mm of orange trumpet flowers, 4-lobed green calyx to 10mm x 5.2mm, lobes to 3.8mm long, fleshy yellow to orange-yellow corolla to 50mm x 12mm expanding to 25mm a t mouth with lobes to 13mm x 13mm. Yellow to yellow-green glabrous fruit to 45mm x 24mm x 17mm.
