Slender high-climbing twining vine to 20m. Upper stems sparsely lenticellate. Leaves to 300mm x 150mm, glabrous above & puberulent beneath. Cauliflorous axillary staminate cymes, yellow-brown flowers with 6-9 sepals subtended by bracteolar scales, outermost sepals to 2mm long, innermost to 3mm long, 6 petals to 1.2mm long. Pistillate 7-9 flowered cymes. Fleshy orange-yellow drupe to 28mm x 13mm.
