Scandent or trailing perennial hairy herb, 3-7 foliolate leaves, leaflets to 75mm x 30mm glabrescent above & silky beneath. Few to many-flowered axillary racemes, purple, pourplish-pink, violet, whitish-pink, yellow or bluish-purple flowers to 15mm long with persistent bracts 6mm x 0.5mm, bracteoles to 3mm x 0.2mm. Silky bilabiate calyx, upper lip to 8mm long, lower lip to 8mm long, petals to 12mm x 6mm silky outside, claw 3mm long, keel to 9mm x 4mm, glabrescent fruit to 40mm x 8mm
