Woody tomentose sometimes twining liana with pubescent stems to 9m. Trifoliate to 5-foliolate leaves, central leaflet 60mm x 35mm, upper surface glabrescent, lower surface grey-silky, leaflets mucronate, glabrous above & pilose beneath. Axillary few-flowered fascicles or racemes with bracts to 2mm long, of white or purple flowers, white-hirsute calyx to 9mm long with teeth to 4mm, white, pale yellow or pinkish corolla 7.5mm long, standard 7mm long, wings & keel to 7mm long. Strigose grey-green glabrescent pods 60mm x 10mm.
