Tall woody twiner with branches dotted with tubercles. Glabrous unifoliolate leaves to 100mm x 70mm, upper surface with puberulent venation, lower surface with pubescent venation. green fruit, Cauliflorous or axillary pseudo-racemes to 240mm long of brilliant red, orange-pink to purple-pink flowers, 2-lobed purple calyx to 25mm long, standard 50mm x 13mm, wings 18mm x 1mm & keel to 16mm x 1mm. Pubescent legume 120mm x 15mm.
