Glabrous rambling shrub or liana, glabrous branches, lenticellate stems, leaves glabrous or puberulous on nerves, coriaceous glabrous leaves to 140mm x 55mm, puberulous terminal corymbs or cymes with 3mm long bracts & bracteoles trifid to half their length, of 25mm orange to red flowers, pubescent calyx lobes to 7.5mm x 1.5mm, with one large glabrous white petaloid sepal to 125mm x 92mm, pubescent yellow or orange-red trumpet-shaped corolla to 20mm x 5mm with hairy tube to 25mm long & hairy in throat, corolla lobes hairy outside 6mm x 3.5mm, 5 sepals 2.5mm long with lobes 70mm x 35mm, 5 petals 6mm x 3mm pubescent outside, glabrous lenticellate berry 12mm long x 10mm with deciduous calyx lobes
