Tall hispid liana, ferrugineous-tomentose stems becoming glabrous 7 lenticellate, coriaceous leaves 120mm x 45mm tomentose beneath , scabrous above or tomentose both surfaces, terminal cymes with bracts to 4mm long & bracteoles to 1mm long, yellow flowers, 5 sepals 3mm long with lobes 70mm x 50mm,tomentose calyx tube 2mm long, 5 puberulent petals 5mm long, corolla tube 25mm long pubescent outside, glabrous berry 9mm x 7mm
