Annual glabrescent herbaceous twiner or liane to 20m ridged stems with white hairs becoming glabrescent, trifoliate leaves sparsely pubescent or glabrous above densely pubescent beneath with white hairs, lateral leaflets to 150mm x 75mm. Axillary corymbs with pubescent bracts, 40mm long purple & red or white flowers, bristly calyx 15mm long, standard to 22mm x 12mm, wings 40mm long, keel to 45m x 5mm, glabrescent longitudinally ribbed densely hairy & bristly pod to 150mm long x 20mm, no irritant bristles
