Rampant evergreen woody sprawling twining liana to 80metres with stems glabrous or covered in stiff orange-brown hairs, pale yellow-green, white tinged green, axillary racemes or umbelliform corymbs to 300mm long of yellow or pale lilac to black flowers, calyx 10mm long rusty villlus outside with teeth to 2mm long, standard 38mm long, wings to 45mm long, fruit a hairy pod to 300mm long x 60mm, fruit with 2 wings 10mm wide covered in irritating orange-brown bristly hairs, trifoliate glabrous leaves
