Large prickly glabrous or slightly downy liana to 10m or tree with bipinnate glabrescent foliage with 8-13 pairs of pinnae, leaflets to 11mm x 4.5mm. Terminal or axillary glabrous racemes 400mm x 40mm of yellow flowers, 5 sepals to 8mm x 5mm, 4 petals to 10mm x 8mm villous on edges with tuft at top, upper petal streaked red, glabrous brown mucronate legume 50mm x 20mm with a short beak
