Shrub, tree, scandent liana or trailing glabrous shrubby vine to 9m. Coriaceous glabrous leathery leaves 120mm x 50mm, velvety branches, white-pubescent branchlets & underside of leaves. Nocturnal axillary panicles or terminal racemes to 50mm across of white or purple flowers with unpleasant odour, petals green, pink or yellow-green to 30mm long, 4 sepals to 7mm long, white filaments. Orange, yellow or pale brown pendant follicles to 200mm x 20mm, fruits segmented like legume pods.
