Fruiting Times
Strong growing annual or perennial monecious herbaceous glabrous or pubescent simple or bifid tendril vine with stem mottled green & yellow trailing or climbing to 4.5m, glabrous or white-tomentose young stems. Lobed coarsely toothed leaves to 160mm x 170mm, pubescent both surfaces. White to pale yellow flowers, purple-black at base, male corymbs or 1-9 with or without small or large 50mm bract more or less 2-lobed, calyx tube to 6mm long covered with soft bristle, lobed yellow corolla 40mm diameter, petals to 35mm x 27mm, female inflorescence 1-2 flowered with or without bract, to 35mm x 24mm. 68mm x 50mm shortly beaked hairy spiny orange-red fruits, foetid odour
