Monoecious tuberous simple or bifid tendril climber or prostrate to 10m, hairy stems. All parts foetid. 3-5 lobed leaves to 107mm x 104mm lobes slightly toothed densely pubescent both surfaces.Male corymbs or umbels of 4-11 or solitary flowers with or without a bract to 20mm long, pilose calyx lobes to 6mm long, yellow corolla 16mm diameter, pale yellow petals with dark lines in veins at base to 19mm long. Female flowers solitary or paired with bract 7mm long, petals to 26mm long. Fruit to 90mm x 50mm with 16 longitudinal wing-like ridges.
