Large woody climber or scandent shrub, lenticellate glabrescent branches. Coriaceous leaves to 200mm x 85mm nearly glabrous above & pubescent beneath. Ferrugineous pubescent terminal & axillary panicles or single or paired flowers, yellow or cream flowers with small bracteole, sepals to 2mmx 3mm, 6 petals, 3 outer petals to 25mm x 6mm ferrugineous pubescent outside glabrous within, glabrous inner petals to 5mm x 2.5mm with short pale wool along margins. Ferrugineous pubescent fruit to 20mm long
