Prickly twining vine sometimes scandent or sprawling. Puberulent branchlets armed with small prickles. Bipinnate leaves sensitive to touch, light & movement, largest leaflets to 50mm x 30mm, villous both sides or glabrous above. Terminal racemes, pink to purple flowers. Sparsely spiny or setose fruit 20mm x 6mm
