Scandent or prostrate perennial hirsute densely spiny herb or subshrub with angled branches & recurved prickles. Bipinnate strigulose leaves,of 4-8 pairs of 20 pairs of leaflets, glabrous leaflets or pilose beneath to 5mm x 1mm. Axillary heads 10mm diameter, pale purple-pink flowers, glabrous calyx & corolla,minute calyx, corolla to 2mm long, lobes to 5mm long. Pubescent legume to 35mm x 6mm with prickly bristles on margins
