Prickly liana with 4-angled glabrescent stems armed with recurved spines to 2mm long. Pinnate leaves to 200mm long with 25-29 pairs of leaflets to 7mm x 1.3mm. Axillary raceme with pink & orange or red flowers, heads 7mm diameter, calyx 1mm long, 5-lobed corolla 3mm long.
