Twining liana to 5m with hollow stems, glabrous to villous. Glabrous leaves to 400mm x 170mm. Panicles to 200mm x 150mm with bracts to 40mm long, fragrant white flowers, corolla to 3mm long with tube to 1.25mm & lobes to 0.5mm. brown achenes to 1.5mm long with bristly white pappus to 3mm long.
