Large woody vine or scandent subshrub with scabrid puberulent stems. Denticulate leaves to 70mm x 40mm, glabrous above, sparsely scabrous & puberulent beneath. Panicles of white ot greenish-yellow flowerheads, phyllaries to 6.5mm long, corolla to 4.5mm long & tube 1.5mm long, lobes to 0.5mm x 0.4mm. Glabrous achenes to 4.5mm long with bristly fulvous pappus.
