Liana or herbaceous vine with glabrate striate stems. Denticulate or entire leaves to 210mm x 80mm, mostly glabrate. 6mm white or pink flowers with purple stamens in dense umbels or corymbs, heads to 10mm long, puberulent phyllaries, corolla to 50mm long with tube 2mm long, triangular lobes. Achenes to 4mm long with bristly buff or tawny pappus.
