Twining subshrub or liana with 4-angled stems. Semi-coriaceous leaves to 30mm x 30mm with denticulate margins, lower surface purplish & puberulent. Terminal & lateral corymbs to 30mm x 50mm, flower heads 11mm long with bracts 7mm long, phyllaries 7.5mm long, corolla 6mm long with a tube 3.7mm long & teeth 2mm long. Pale green achenes 4.5mm long with pappus bristles 5.5mm long.
