Liana or climbing shrub, branchlets with few recurved prickles, bipinnate spiny puberulent leaves with leaflets to 24mm x 12mm. Axillary and terminal villous racemes to 400mm long with pubescent bracts to 20mm x 4mm, bright yellow flowers, 5 pubescent sepals yellow-villous outside to 16mm x 7mm, 5 yellow petals 20mm diameter, wingless or winged pod to 150mm x 60mm, wing to 16mm
