Liana or small tree to 20m or spiny shrub with pubescent young growth & inflorescence, glabrous or densely villous bipinnate mucronulate leaves, leaflets to 70mm x 50mm. Axillary and terminal glabrous racemes to 1000mm long of flowers with 5 sepals to 15mm x 8mm, 4 petals to 19mm x 14mm, fruit a brown winged pod 160mm long x 55mm wide with wing to 15mm wide
