Tall prickly liana or shrub with spiny villous or glabrous stems, puberulent or glabrescent spiny coriaceous bipinnate leaves with leaflets to 28mm x 16mm. Axillary and terminal puberulent panicles to 500mm x 250mm of yellow flowers, calyx lobes to 10mm villous outside, 5 sepals villous outside to 10mm x 5mm, 5 petals 12mm diameter, winged red legume 150mm x 40mm with 10mm wing
