Liana with hairy stems, leaves to 130mm x 70mm, scabrous above and pubescent beneath, 2-4 axillary flowers with bracteoles 45mm x 50mm. Puberulous calyx to 1.5mm, glabrous red or purple 5 lobed corolla 55mm long to 10mm dia. Lobes to 7mm dia. Green puberulous fruit 20mm x 8mm wide
