Tall perennial evergreen glabrous woody climber to 5m, shrubby tree or rambling shrub with lenticellate stems, puberulous terminal or rarely axillary cymes, panicles or corymbs to 250mm long with bracts to 2mm long pubescent outside, of 55mm fragrant white or yellow flowers or white with cream centre, calyx with 5 lobes 3mm long, corolla tube villous inside to 20mm long, 5 lobes to 12mm long, 5 sepals to 3mm long puberulent on back, 5 petals puberulent outside 7mm long, glabrous to 125mm x 75mm red-orange edible berry, stout liane, glabrous coriaceous leaves to 195mm x 60mm with undulate margins
