Hemi-epiphytic or lithophytic woody climber or shrub to 3m with bristly 4-sided glabrous branches with winged angles, glabrous coriaceous leaves to 370mm x 200mm. Glabrous terminal & axillary many-flowered panicles to 320mm x 150mm with bracts to 30mm x 4mm & bracteoles to 11mm x 3mm. Flowers with glabrous pink or red calyx to 5mm x 4mm, 4-5 white or pink petals to 12mm x 8mm. Pink fruit ripening purple to blackish 7mm diameter, rarely parasitical
